Key to a Kingdom: Cover Reveal

NanoWriMo2020 has been an interesting experience for me. Last year I wrote on most days but this year, with the craziness of 2020 I didn't start writing until the 9th of November. This was partly because while I had set-up a book, I wasn't entirely sure I wanted to commit to write. But a fellow friend and author, Yvonne M. Thompson, was a great inspiration and chatting with her about her novel...well, it got me excited enough to write my own.

One of the things I promised was that if I crossed the 50k word mark, I would reveal the cover. On the 24th of November I crossed that mark and as promised I will reveal the cover below.

Something Right: Announcement

Recently I posted that I was to be included in a paranormal romance (PNR) anthology. I am writing this to say that I am no longer in it. Further, I wish to apologise for those who purchased a copy of the anthology thinking the content would be similar in vein to my own style and content

This was a professional decision that I felt necessary to make. No contract had been signed for the story to be published in the anthology. Having seen the cover, which indicated a clean read and that all participating authors had voted on, I assumed the content would be in line with it. Had I been aware of that I would have recognised it as being at odds with my own style and declined to be included. In addition, I was not aware of the full extent of the language and content the other stories would include until it was due to be published and had thought the two volumes would separate the clean stories from the steamy ones.

Release Day for Good Luck, Bad Luck

Yesterday I got a knock at the door and was excited to see the postman had left me a parcel! It's such an overwhelming feeling opening the parcel to see the book you've worked on for over ten years in your hands - it's real.

Today is the official release day for Good Luck, Bad Luck. It's been a fantastic journey and I'm proud to have finished the novel and accomplished a dream I had since I was in primary school. I do hope to extend the Three Kingdoms world in 2021. I have an academy style series planned that takes place at the Sorcery Academy as well as a standalone prequel that is about the Great War that is mentioned in this book.
